Professional S 8-inch carving/slicing knife with special reverse edgeDesigned for serious home chefs, the Professional ‘S’ series provides the excellence expected from Zwilling J.A. Henckels, the upscale partner of Henckels International. This eight-inch knife from the series has a unique reverse-edge blade with rounded, instead of peaked, serrations. This special blade produces cleaner, more effortless slices during carving.
Like all Professional ‘S’ knives, the reverse-edge carver is constructed of premium German high-carbon, no-stain steel. The blade is Friodur ice-hardened for increased ability to hold an edge; if the serrated blade ever requires resharpening, it should be done by a professional, not at home with a sharpening steel. The classically-styled handle offers the strength of a full tang and triple rivets, while an enhanced bolster adds to the beautiful balance. Though the carver is technically dishwasher-safe, Henckels recommends washing and drying all fine knives by hand immediately after use.
